2010 Poker Run
Wednesday, June 16th, 6:00 PM
Free for club members, $10 for non club members (payable at the event)
Location: St. Lawrence College East Parking lot
Race Start: Behind L'Heritage High School heading east along the bike path
Distance: 5km
Format: Prediction run; at registration runners will provide their predicted time on when they will complete the run. Runners will not be allowed watches.
At each km along the way, runners will receive 1 playing card. At the end of the race the runner should have 5 playing cards.
Players who come within 30 seconds of their predicted time will have the option to exchange two of their playing cards for two new cards from the deck.
Players who come within 30-60 seconds of their predicted time will have the option to exchange one playing card for one new card from the deck.
Refreshments: There will be water at the 2.5km marker. A great assortment of food & refreshments will be provided at the end of the race.
Prizes: Prizes for closest predicted time to real time as well as best poker hand will be given out.
